General Provisions
Please read the following rental and booking terms before making a reservation with Car Rentals MZ.
By placing a booking through our website, you confirm that you accept these Booking Terms and the Vehicle Rental Agreement and agree to comply with them.
- Vehicles are available for personal use only. Transporting animals, furniture, or similar items is prohibited.
- The vehicle must not be driven by any person other than the driver(s) named in the rental agreement. Insurance coverage applies only to the authorized driver(s).
- A valid driving licence in English is required to rent a vehicle. If you present an International Driving Permit (IDP), you must also provide your original driving licence showing the issue date and driving experience.
- Drivers who have held their licence for less than three (3) years are not permitted to rent a vehicle, as they are not covered by the insurance policy.
- Rental vehicles may only be driven on public paved roads. Any damage resulting from driving on unpaved or off-road surfaces is not covered by insurance. The customer is fully responsible for any damage caused in such circumstances.
- Compensation for any damage to the vehicle must be paid immediately in accordance with the company's current rates.
Driver Age and Experience
Drivers must be between 25 and 72 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least 3 years.
If the driver does not meet these requirements, an additional driver surcharge will apply.
Rental Extension
The rental period may be extended upon agreement with the company, provided the vehicle is available for the requested dates and a new rental agreement is signed.
Bookings
To make a reservation on our website, you must provide the date, time, and location for vehicle collection and return.
If the driver does not meet the standard age or driving experience requirements, the "Young Driver" option must be selected during booking.
After selecting a vehicle, a 15% deposit must be paid to confirm the reservation.
Bookings are accepted based on the vehicle category (class), not a specific model. The exact vehicle provided depends on availability at the time of rental.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the rental start date.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the rental start date are considered late cancellations. In such cases, the deposit paid will be retained as compensation.
If the customer fails to collect the vehicle at the agreed date, time, and location without prior notice to the company, this will also be treated as a late cancellation, and the deposit will be retained.
Fuel Policy
Fuel is not included in the rental price.
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of collection.
If the fuel level is lower, the missing fuel will be charged at 120% of its value (1.2x rate).
If the vehicle is returned with more fuel than when collected, no refund or compensation will be provided.
Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned no later than the time specified in the rental agreement and in a condition suitable for inspection.
If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty, the customer must have it cleaned before returning it.
No refund will be provided if the vehicle is returned before the agreed end of the rental period.
Lost Key
If the vehicle key is lost, the customer will be charged the full cost of replacing the key through the authorized dealership.
Parking and Traffic Fines
The customer is responsible for paying all parking fees, traffic fines, and penalties incurred during the rental period.
Insurance
In the event of an accident or any incident covered by insurance, the customer must immediately notify the car rental company so that an insurance representative can be contacted and further instructions can be provided.
Failure to follow this procedure may result in the insurance coverage being invalidated, making the customer fully liable for all damages.
Northern Cyprus
Crossing the border into Northern Cyprus with the rental vehicle is strictly prohibited.
